Awards/Special Events
Includes our annual AMY Awards, an annual celebration of some of the best marketing achievements in Atlanta
- Program Manager
Create timeline & budget with VPs. Ensure deadlines are met. Set up meetings and send notes on next steps. Manage committee volunteers and assign tasks to each subcommittee. - Sponsorships Director
Sell sponsorship packages, make sure sponsors receive all portions of their package, manage sponsor comp ticket count, manage communications with all sponsors - Sponsorships Support
Assist Sponsorships Director w/ duties above, update sponsor details in tracker and inform other committee members when needed, track sponsor comp ticket count - Award Entries and Judging Director
Work with the AMYs VPs to determine all the award categories and entry website, track and manage submissions, help recruit judges and manage communications with finalists and winners. 1+ year(s) award entries or judging experience preferred. - Award Entries and Judging Support
Assist Award Entries and Judging Director w/ duties above, track submissions and be second point of contact for entries, review award entries and check for missing info, and create agenda and timeline for judges. - Communications Director
Create social, email, web and PR content, coordinate with AMA Communications/Web/PR committees. Graphic design experience (Canva), access to designer, and/or 1-2 years content management experience preferred. - Communications Support
Assist Communications Director w/ duties above, draft content and create timeline. Graphic design (Canva) experience preferred. - Event Director
Work with committee VP and AMA Executive Director to secure AV, catering and drinks. Coordinate event signage, presentation, run of show, and day-of logistics. 1-2 years of event coordination experience preferred. - Event Support
Assist Event Director w/ duties above, collect content for presentation, programs and run of show script, day-of availability to pass out awards, welcome guests, manage flow.
Collegiate
Outreach to local college students to encourage and support future marketers

Informing audiences about chapter news and value through a variety of strategies
- Leaders to Learn From Volunteer
Help facilitate the Leaders to Learn From process — from the development of the questions we’ll ask the individual, to coordinating the interview, to packing the content and sending the thank you to the featured person. - Monthly Newsletter Survey Content Volunteer
Manage the monthly fun surveys we’d include in the e-newsletter. Coming up with the topics to cover and then building content in the next month’s edition to showcase some key nuggets of information gleaned from members who completed the survey. This would also include thanking those who completed the survey and sending out the monthly prize to the monthly winner.

The Director of Member Engagement is responsible for implementing an ongoing plan to monitor and ensure member satisfaction with the chapter, especially among new and inactive members. Veteran AMA members preferred. - AMA Around Town Meetup Coordinators
AMA Around Town coordinators are responsible for the ongoing facilitation of regular meetups in their communities, including identifying locations, ongoing communication with attendees, and monitoring success.
Mentorship
An initiative to pair those seeking professional advancement with experienced marketers
